Velocity field statistics in homogeneous steady turbulence by admin — last modified 2007-01-03 20:00
Velocity field statistics in the inertial to dissipation range of 3D homogeneous steady turbulent flow with high-resolution DNS up to 1024 cubed. Data Base of Phys. of Fluids Vol. 14, 1065-1081 (2002). (ref. Toshiyuki Gotoh)
Velocity statistics in particle-laden turbulent vertical channel flow with and without lift (ref: C. Marchioli) by admin — last modified 2008-04-10 15:09
Statistics of particle velocity and deposition rates from Direct Numerical Simulation of fully-developed turbulent channel flow at shear Reynolds number equal to 150 on a 128 x 128 x 129 grid. Data are relative to 3 different flow configurations (flow with no gravity, vertical downflow and vertical upflow) and 6 values of the particle Stokes number: St = 0.2, 1, 5, 15, 25 and 125. Forces acting on particles are inertia, drag and lift. The data apply to dilute dispersed systems and are made available as ASCII files.
DNS of Particle-Laden Turbulent Channel Flow (Benchmark Simulations - Ref. C. Marchioli) by admin — last modified 2008-02-14 12:13
This repository collects fluid velocity statistics, particle velocity statistics and particle concentration statistics relative to the problem of particle dispersion in wall-bounded turbulent channel flow. Statistics have been obtained in the frame of an international test case using Direct Numerical Simulation of fully-developed channel flow without gravity at shear Reynolds number equal to 150 on a 128 x 128 x 129 grid. The Eulerian flow simulation is coupled with Lagrangian tracking of particle samples characterized by different values of the particle Stokes number: St = 1, 5 and 25. Forces acting on particles are inertia, drag and lift.
